Fma or fmab au idea that I thought was neat
When Trisha was pregnant, she was so excited cause she and Van weren’t sure they’d be able to conceive due to Van’s “condition”. However she begins to miscarry and Van either uses his philosopher stone (09) or injects Trisha’s uterus with red water (03) in an effort to save the life of their unborn child.
Edward is born healthy, but with the mark of the ouroboros on the side of his head. They agree that they will never tell him or anyone what the mark is or why. They make a big deal about him not cutting his hair so he never sees the mark.
After Al is born perfectly fine, and they notice how fast Al is growing compared to Ed. Van is worried that his intervention in saving Ed’s life has stripped him of his humanity. He worries that Ed, like Van, will not be able to live a normal life, growing old and dying like a normal human, so he takes off to search for a way to fix his son.
It’s not until Ed uses himself as a Philosopher Stone in Baschool that he begins to think something is wrong with him. And by the time he reappears, he’s shaved the side of his head to reveal the truth.

In the fiery pits of the underworld, where desire burned as hot as the molten lava, a demon named Sxodnir strutted through the crowded streets of his domain, his six-pack abs rippling with every step. He was known as the ultimate demon himbo, a creature of unparalleled beauty and charm, whose sole purpose was to indulge in the pleasures of the flesh. His eyes, a smoldering shade of red, scanned the throngs of demons and damned souls, seeking someone new to satiate his ever-growing hunger for transformation. His gaze fell upon a human male, Adrian, who had stumbled into this infernal realm by mistake, his body trembling with fear and awe at the sight of the leather-clad demon before him. Sxodnir's smile grew wide, revealing sharp, gleaming fangs. He had found his next plaything.
Tumblr media
Adrian, a muscular and handsome mortal with a penchant for adventure, had always been drawn to the supernatural. Little did he know that his curiosity would lead him to this fateful encounter with the demonic embodiment of temptation. Frozen in place, he watched as Sxodnir sauntered over, his tail swishing playfully behind him. The demon's touch sent a jolt of electricity through Adrian's body, igniting a spark of curiosity and lust that he had never felt before.
Sxodnir leaned in, his breath hot against Adrian's neck, whispering sweet nothings in a language that seemed to resonate within the human's very soul. His fingers traced the outline of Adrian's jaw, leaving a trail of warmth that sent shivers down his spine. "I can give you everything you've ever desired," Sxodnir murmured, "every power, every pleasure. All you have to do is let me in."
The human's resolve wavered. He had never been one to turn down a challenge, especially one that came wrapped in such a tempting package. With a gasp, Adrian nodded, unable to resist the siren's call of the demon's offer. And so, the transformation began.
The air grew thick with an intoxicating scent of brimstone and lust as Sxodnir's hand slid down Adrian's chest. His touch grew more insistent, his nails digging in just enough to sting. The human felt his body begin to morph, his muscles bulging and stretching in ways that defied human limits, his skin darkening to a deep, almost metallic shade of red. His eyes grew wider, pupils dilating with arousal as his mind swirled with images of the pleasures that awaited him as one of Sxodnir's kind.
Sxodnir's lips met Adrian's, and their tongues danced together in a fiery tango. The demon's cock, a monstrous and beautiful thing, grew to impossible proportions, straining against his leather pants. Adrian felt his own body respond in kind, his human form giving way to something more... more powerful, more primal. As they kissed, the demon's essence seeped into the human, reshaping him from the inside out.
Their bodies entwined, Sxodnir's massive cock found its way to Adrian's tight, untouched hole. The human moaned with a mix of fear and anticipation as the demon's thick, pulsing member breached the barrier that separated him from his new life. With a single, powerful thrust, Sxodnir claimed him, filling Adrian with his transformative seed. The human's body convulsed, muscles clenching around the demon's shaft as he was flooded with an intensity of pleasure that was almost too much to bear.
With every pump of his hips, Sxodnir's power grew within Adrian. The human felt his body stretching, his cock lengthening and thickening, his balls swelling with a newfound vitality. His humanity slipped away, replaced by a fiery passion that could never be quenched. He was no longer Adrian, the mortal, but something more... something demonic.
As the transformation reached its peak, the room was bathed in a crimson light, and the air was thick with the scent of sex and power. Sxodnir's moans grew louder, his giant cock kept thrusting in Adrian's ass, with one final push, Sxodnir's cock erupted with a lot of demon himbo cum and the transformation of Adrian is complete.
Sxodnir leans in and whispers "Now you are mine forever, you will do as told and you will go forth and bring more to me my boy" and all Adrian can do is nod and say "Yes my Master".

Edward: Your secrets up, Dante.
Dante: When did you find out, fair son of Hohenheim?
Edward: So, it's all true?
Dante: Indeed, every last word.
Edward: So, how many times have you jumped bodies?
Dante: Well, in four hundred years you can lose count. It's less than ten, after all I had to use the philospher's stone each time.
Edward: And that's what happened to this city? Lives for the stone?
Dante: Don't forget the fabled, lost civilization in the East - it was the same. But I'm not the one who made it happen.
Edward: No, it was Hohenheim of Light.
Dante: You say it so formally. Why don't you just call him 'Dad'?
Edward: Did he live this way, too? Stealing bodies, creating wars - and for what purpose?
Dante: Because we were worth it.
Edward: What the hell's that supposed to mean? You ruined thousands of lives to create each philosopher's stone - then you take it for yourself so you can live longer. And you actually think that's justified?
Dante: Humans can't handle the stone.
Edwars: Right. So you have the mercy to take it from them - the grace to kill anyone who was involved so only the legend remains.
Dante: I'm glad you understand so well. Humans are controlled by their sins - and the philosopher's stone has power far greater than any weapon ever forged before. So I've taken cities - humans would destroy the world. The lives lost have been necessary martyrs, saving mankind from itself. I am the guardian - the shepard of sins. I have to live on, to prevent you humans from doing something foolish with the stone.
Edward: Don't kid yourself - you're human just like us!
Dante: Not. Anymore.

FMA fandom I had a thought
so as the title says I had a thought about Fullmetal Alchemist specifically human transmutation. I had the thought wouldn't it be possible to actually succeed with it under very specific circumstances. such as the body being healed of its fatal damage and the time between death and the transmutation being relatively short only a few minutes or so.
My thought being is that to rebind the soul to the body you would need to give something up like a leg, or with my thought wouldn't a soul be worth another soul?
the basic idea is using the murderer's soul as a trade giving up a soul to receive a soul back. there would still probably still have to be a toll on the Alchemist's part but do you all think this would even work?

the differences in portrayal of human transmutation across media is so interesting to me. i have not yet watched dungeon meshi so i cant comment on it but in one piece, not only is human transmutation and cloning possible, it is done and used for the exact purpose they wanted to create humans in the first place in fma; indispensable supply of soldiers. additionally, they appear to be completely sentient and have free will as well
fma: human transmutation is bad!! There is no equivalent exchange for human life >:(
dungeon meshi: how much meat ya got?

Yay my favorite kids.
(I have no idea if there are people who wears ankle foot orthosis on one leg and hyperextension knee brace on the other. They probably don't look very accurate either. I should do more research.)

Codywan is so Royai coded tbh no wonder ppl keep tripping into shipping it. Granted it's the walmart version bc the average official Star Wars writer could not touch Hiromu Arakawa if they tried but it sure is the same flavor

I really think father and hohenheim should have been the same character? I mean, father is such a bland villain. Maybe I just haven't looked enough but I haven't seen even the most hardcore bh fans talk about him? It's all just about how ed punched god or whatever. No one's actually interested in the guy himself. I can think of several ways them being the same person would make it a lot more interesting, at least to me. I mean, first of all ed and al having to fight their own shitty father is some delicious angst. Second I really like the mad scientist type character and that's what hoho would be in that scenario. Third I think it would be fun to analyse the "sins" he took out of himself if he was a human to begin with. Ohh and come to think of it, it would go really well with Ed's whole "alchemists are the closest things to God yadda yadda" speech in the beginning wouldn't it? Honestly I can't think of any reason why they had to be different people at all...Ah, except how can I forget. Arakawa's writing this. Of course they have to be two different people. One who actually did all the wrong things and the loving father and husband who's going around trying to make everything right(nevermind that he left Trisha to care for their 4-5 yos all alone with no support. Nuh uh he's perfect) If she held the fact that the two can in fact be the same person it might just explode her world. I'm rolling my eyes.
Father and Hohenheim as the same character? Who is a mad scientist? Who as a result reimburses Ed's pompous "Alchemists are the closest things to god"? Blends aspects of being an unforgivable monster with having loved his family? I've got your guy!
Tumblr media
🎉Hohenheim of Light!🎉
Oh sure, he's not the final big bad that the Elric bros have to fight, and sure he's more of a retired villain who's mildly penitent for his centuries of bloodshed, rather than continuing to enact widespread destruction. But we do get to see the results of all his transgressions against humanity and his own first son too! So, 🎉 ta-da! 🎉
To actually address your ask:
Besides what 03 had already done, for awhile I actually thought Father WAS Hohenheim in Brotherhood.
To clarify: I avoided the online fandom from 2009 onward in order to prevent getting spoiled for the (at the time) new fma adaptation. I kept putting off watching it for well over a decade (lol), and for no other reason then a combo of 1) not being in the mood for more fma, and 2) when I was, I would immediately run right back to fma 03 without fail, and then be so thoroughly satisfied with revisiting a long time fave that I just. Would put off watching Broho for another time.
Still, being online in any capacity meant that every once in awhile I was unavoidably being exposed to the odd screenshot, text post, and fanart. No big deal, nothing really spoiled anything heavily enough for me to know the full story, and I could easily scroll away before making sense out of anything.
But I did one day stumble into a screenshot of Father glowering in his underground throne. And here I thought "Oh shit! Hohenheim is actually in full villain mode this time around?! We're going to actually explore the mass annihilation he commits for philosopher stones and how his sons will have to contend with their own father. This will surely dig even deeper into Ed and Al's heel turn against the military, and what alchemy means as a method of power and control. Man, this is gonna fuck!"
lol
lmao even
So to my now endless disappointment I finally watched Brotherhood this last spring. And although I surprisingly liked* this affable, bumbling, rather tragic version of Hohenheim (which stumps me, given my initial assumption for Brotherhood AND being a long time Hohenheim of Light enjoyer) (I still like Hoho of Light more tho), Father was such a fucking let down on every front.
*Don't get me wrong, I'm not claiming Von Hohenheim didn't do wrong against Trisha and his kids. As much as he had to build the anti-circle around Amestris, it doesn't erase the fact that Trisha had to shoulder the full burden of raising their kids, and child Ed's sense of abandonment and outrage against him is highly warranted.
Even keeping Father as a homunculus that duplicates Hohenheim's appearance, he still could have been an interesting character and villain. But every step of the way he was just the obvious big bad mostly relegated to the background, stored away except for a few key encounters and flashbacks. He was paper thin, an easy excuse for why the core ills of Amestris are all his exclusive fault, and conveniently the canon has an in-baked reason for why he has the personality and stage presence of cardboard. Woo. hoo.
God the lore and function of homunculi blows in mangahood. At the very least make me actually feel like they are parts of this once former-cyclops in a bottle! And still make Father an actually compelling character! In fact the other homunculi could have potentially been an effective vehicle for that, but noooooo-
Honestly, I agree. It would have been so much more affecting for Hohenheim and Father to be one, singular character. Of course much of his backstory would have to change, but that's not a loss in my hater's opinion. The implications for the Elrics, for their paradigms to be entirely torn asunder and have to be rebuilt in order to survive and make sense out of their position in Amestris, it would have been juicy.
You're right, I have seen next to no deeper interest or investment into Father as a character and as a narrative device from hardcore fans either. I'm sure it does exist, given Brotherhood's immense popularity, but damn if we can be forgiven for getting the impression that most fans just don't give a rat's unseasoned ass. I see more posts and fanart for Von Hohenheim than I do Father lol
Mangahood simply can't have (or actually address) any truly murky topics, or depict messy and complex characterization, if it doesn't ultimately shine the brightest, most admirable, most absolving light on our protags as possible. So why would Von Hohenheim have anything to do with Father besides having been his victim?
We remain starved by the emaciated, sorry excuse for 'pathos' that is Father's whole deal. What a shame.

i saw that post about roy smoking pot and i raise you the headcanon i have that ed uses weed as a way to self-medicate with the chronic pain brought on by his automail ^^ and also recreationally because he's a little punk and thinks its fun as well as helpful
Ed's stunned for like 0.2 seconds upon finding out that Roy is also low key a pot head, until rapidly getting excited to finally have someone to get high with haha
The alchemic theories these two would come up with while stoned together though lmao

The Fan Continuity that I’m trying to work on is still on my mind, and while I’m still planning out a lot of stuff for it at the moment, I’m going to go ahead and talk about some of the characters in it.
Technically, everyone is around in this- or, nearly everyone at least, but I can’t focus on all of the Cybertronians. So, most of the character stuff that I’ll be doing for this is more for the ‘main’ Cybertronians in the Continuity.
Each all have their own little things going on, aswell.
Optimus Prime: They/Them/Themself, He/Him/Himself, (FtM):
Optimus Prime, originally Orion Pax only a short while ago before being made a Prime thanks to the Matrix of Leadership, resides on Earth as the leader of the Autobots.
Still processing the recent death of their Conjunx Endura, Elita-1, the new Prime grows protective of his Autobots, while promising that he’ll stop Megatron, and make sure that nobody else suffers.
Rampage: It/It’s/Itself:
Rampage (or known by X to some), used to be held in an old facility in another Universe, before it took a chance, and escaped—both the facility and the Universe, after running through some sort of portal.
Shortly after appearing in a new Universe, it runs into Transmutate—who doesn’t seem all that like the one from its original universe—but also seems to have gone through a similar situation.
Teaming up, the two stick together, all while having to worry about certain people from both of their original Universes who want them both—one more than the other.
Transmutate: She/Her/Herself, It/It’s/Itself, They/Them/Themself:
Transmutate was originally held in an old facility—where they had been created. But, when something happens, she takes the chance to escape the facility—and the current Universe (which, it only figured out after—it didn’t think the portal could do that).
After appearing in this strange, new Universe, it runs into Rampage, who seems somewhat different from what little she knew of the other one. But, just like them, it seems to have gone through a similar situation.
Teaming up and sticking with Rampage, Transmutate worries over... a lot. Not being able to control certain abilities. The people who created them—who consider it ‘unfinished’ coming, and worrying over its new friend.
Wheeljack: He/Him/Himself, She/Her/Herself, They/Them/Themself:
Wheeljack, one of the most well-known Autobot Scientists... although their inventions do tend to malfunction—and one of the only few that happens to be on Earth with the rest.
Although they stick around and assist the others when he can, and spend time working on inventions, the scientist has some... problems, that they have been trying to fix.
Shortly after arriving on Earth, Ratchet and the Dinobots went missing, with her making it their mission to try and find them all again—all while dealing with an unfortunate change to herself that happened during an encounter with a Decepticon that he’s trying to hide.
Censere/The Necrobot: They/Them/Themself:
Censere... or as nearly every Cybertronian knows them, The Necrobot—someone who seems to catalogue the deceased—but also thought to not exist, as they are never exactly seen... but they have a good reason to not want to be.
Residing on Earth, a young human manages to spot them when they were listing someone off. At first, they thought that would be it—but, the two continue to see each-other, and eventually, they start talking.
It seems like, now, they’ve got a little human buddy.
Krok: He/Him/Himself (FtM):
Krok, a Monoformer that’s haunted by events from his past (which, leads him into seeing... spirits?), and the leader of the small group of Decepticons called The Scavengers. Years before everyone else, the mech first met Spinister, after he was repaired by the surgeon.
His time with all of them has been... chaotic, for sure, but it quickly becomes worse when, after a visit to someplace, the Scavengers discover that they’re being tracked, and none of them know the reason. Among the pursuers, is someone from Krok’s past.
Spinister: They/Them/Themself, It/It’s/Itself:
Spinister, a rather strange (in everyone else’s optics) surgeon, who, years ago, ran into Krok when the Monoformer was severely damaged. From what or who? It didn’t know—but it had been rather focused on fixing him, and never left after those events.
Out of all the Scavengers, Krok seems to understand them the best... but, that doesn’t mean that it’s still a mystery—there are certain things that Spinister is keeping a secret, that it doesn’t plan on telling any of the others.
However, one thing that isn’t a secret, is how it can see the spirits that hang around Krok—surprising both, and even the spirits—yet the rest can’t see what these two see and hear.
Misfire: Any Pronouns:
Misfire, a flier who... doesn’t really remember much of anything, and they aren’t all that sure on the reason why. They do, however, know that they happen to be a rather terrible shot... as everyone discovers that rather quickly.
She’s the newest member of the Scavengers, the others having met him and vise versa when the flier got into some trouble at a small bar, before quickly joining them all.
Misfire isn’t too worried about what they can’t remember, among other things—he’s sure that it doesn’t mean anything, that nothing bad happened, or that nothing bad is going to happen because of any of that.
...Right?
Crankcase: No Pronouns:
Crankcase, a Pilot, who before joining up with the Scavengers (being the third to join), used to work for... someone—the Decepticon won’t explain or reveal who it was to any of the others, claiming that it doesn’t matter.
In fact, the only things that the Pilot has revealed, is just that the ‘someone’ was another Decepticon—Crankcase didn’t like working for whoever it was, and that before leaving, that ‘someone’ was the reason for the rather nasty head wound.
Despite the head wound, Crankcase seems to be fine... at least to the others at a first glance, but the Decepticon is far worse. The Pilot has far worse damage—some involving around the head wound, and other, internal damage that the pilot is just starting to realize.
Fulcrum: He/Him/Himself, They/Them/Themself:
Fulcrum, a Decepticon who... isn’t all that sure on what he was doing in an old, seemingly abandoned, lab—which was where they also happened to meet the Scavengers—being the fourth to join.
Unlike Misfire in the future, Fulcrum knows everything, nothing happened to their memories, they just... aren’t sure what they’re doing in this lab—and they can’t remember their time in it. He feels weird, he can no longer transform, among other... much more unfortunate and concerning details.
While dealing with the chaos of being with the Scavengers, he slowly starts to discover the truth as to why he was in that lab....
This isn’t everyone, but it’s at least a few of them.
